How to Use the Cartoon Theme Template

Ready to turn your lesson or story into a colorful, animated adventure? Whether you are setting up your slides on your desktop using Microsoft PowerPoint or customizing them online in Canva, here is your easy step-by-step guide:

For Microsoft PowerPoint Users

Step 1: Launch Your Journey

Download the template file to your computer. Open it in PowerPoint and click the Enable Editing button at the top of your screen to unlock all text and image layers.

Step 2: Title Your Story

Click directly into the big, bold headline blocks on the cover and introduction slides to type in your lesson title, story topic, or subject name.

Step 3: Introduce Your Characters

Navigate to the character profile pages. Click the text boxes to rename the explorer team members, add student roles, or highlight specific project leaders.

Step 4: Swap the Scenery

To add your own class photos, field trip snapshots, or artwork, right-click any image placeholder, choose Change Picture, and select a file straight from your computer.

Step 5: Map Out the Steps

Use the numbered adventure stages and four-quadrant layouts to break down your main topic into bite-sized, easy-to-read learning points.

Step 6: Hit Play on Your Presentation

Save your final changes, head to the Slide Show tab in the top menu, and select From Beginning to display your cartoon story full screen.

For Canva Users

Step 1: Grab Your Digital Passport

Click your provided Canva link to view the presentation in your web browser. Click File in the upper-left menu and select Make a copy to save the deck to your Canva dashboard.

Step 2: Rewrite Text with a Click

Double-click any playful heading, bullet point, or quote box to replace the placeholder copy with your own storytelling text or lesson notes.

Step 3: Drag and Drop Your Visuals

Upload your custom graphics, student photos, or topic images into your Canva account. Drag and drop them directly into the pre-shaped cartoon frames.

Step 4: Add Extra Color and Sparkle

Click on background waves, stars, or doodle shapes to tweak the colors, move elements around, or add fun animated stickers from Canva's left-side menu.

Step 5: Present or Print

Click the Present button at the top right to start your full-screen interactive session right inside your web browser, or click Share -> Download to save the deck as a PDF or PowerPoint file.
